How much organic chemistry should we know for the PCAT?

How much organic chemistry should we know for the PCAT?

Not too much. Know your rxn types, and basic SN1, Sn2 e1 e2 subs. KNow naming, and functional groups. Not many synthetic reactions on it.

Know how to look at organic molecules and quickly convert to molecular formula. Know how things are changed during reactions for the passage section. Know oxidation numbers. For instance, it might say, "In Reaction 1, what happens when Molecule 1 reacts with Molecule 2?" and the answers might be, "Molecule 1 loses a water molecule" or "Molecule 1 is oxidized/reduced." Just be able to recognize things like that quickly.
