Hi guys, i took orgo 1 this past semester and i got a B- 🙁 I am taking orgo 2 in spring 2010 and my college offers orgo lab separately which is worth 2 credits, i was planning on taking it during the winter break but i cant and i can't take it in the spring or even in the summer 🙁 so should i not take orgo lab at all?? Would it look bad?? Is it a requirement for the dental schools??

Yes, you need the year of Lab as well. And don't worry about the B-, it's really not that bad - just be sure to do better in the next class ( I thought Orgo 2 was a little easier to study than Orgo I anyways), good luck!

Thanks!!, but there's only one orgo lab which is given and it's worth 2 credits. i guess i'll just have to take it some other time since it is required.

Just metion on the apps that you'll take orgo lab some other time before you graduate.
You don't need to complete all required courses before you apply.
You just gotta finish them before you enter dental school

ohh ok, yea i will definitely try to fit it in somewhere by the end of my junior year. Thanks

As everyone said above definitely take it! You have to.. its a pre-req. BUT I would recommend taking it at the same time as your lecture; if that is possible. I felt it really helped to bring all of the information together and showed how organic chemistry can be used in the real world, not just what we reading in the text.

just a thought*
