in orgo roadmap #2 of destroyer...shouldnt the Br2/hv reaction all the way in the bottom left corner add onto the CH3 molecule since it is the least substituted and also in a terminal position yielding Ar-CH2CH2Br...what am I missing here? thanks!

yea this is an exception to anti-mark rule with radicals...Br2/hv will take off the benzyllic hydrogen and add there...Also another exception to anti-mark is HCl and ROOR, that adds mark because Cl is too strong to add anti-mark...

👍 btw, is it true that Cl/CCl4 results in trans whereas Br2/CCl4 results in Syn addition!? Why is that!?
