Out of curiosity, what company do most ortho surgeons use for their prosthetic knees/hips, etc. With the market tanking I'm interested in looking into some of these companies to invest. Any advice?

Inside information is illegal.

That is a lot of I's.

How is that insider information, I'm basically asking who is the #1 manufacturer of these types of devices.

Alliteration!

I'm kinda new to the whole medical field, but is it not consider public information what brand of prosthetics y'all use?

Some of the more common orthopaedic device companies are:

Stryker
Depuy (Johson and Johnson)
Synthes
Smith and Nephew

zimmer (ticker ZMH) has the largest share of hip and knees replacements. depuy (from johnson and johnson) is 2nd, followed by stryker in 3rd.

the remaining 25% is fought over by biomet, smith & nephew, wright medical, exactech, etc.
