I'm curious how much experience with a specific procedure affects surgery duration. Specifically, approximately how much quicker is a highly experienced surgeon compared to one with average experience, for the same procedure? Have there been any studies on whether surgery duration correlates with the quality of the work done? (let's say for arthroscopy procedures for example). Is significantly faster work compared to the average standard usually indicative of anything?
