Heard through the grapevine that the University of Hawaii is considering opening a DO school for entering class of 2009.

University of Hawaii already has a school, the John A. Burns School of Medicine in Manoa, but with such a small class size (<70 students) they feel there is still a need to provide healthcare to the regions growing population.

Anyone feel like doing some OMT on their surfboard?

Hmmm.. 2009? I'll finish residency in 2010. Think they'll start an EM program? I'll sign up 🙂

April Fool's?🙄

If not, then the AOA should throw their complete weight at this and support every potential state university-affiliated medical school. Even if it's not true, I stand by the above.

Please let this not be an April Fool's joke 😛

It was indeed an April fools joke.

Sorry to get the hopes up of those looking to apply to HCOM in 2009.
