Hi All,

Can anyone tell me what a correct answer to the question, 'Can you name a principle of osteopathic medicine?'

&

Excuse my ignorance but what is the 'Gevitz' book?

Thank you in advance.

There are "four priniciples" of osteopathic medicine. They are:

1. The human being is a dynamic unit of function.

2. The body possesses self-regulatory mechanisms that are self-healing in nature.

3. Structure and function are interrelated at all levels.

4. Rational treatment is based on these principles.

As for Gevitz, check the SDN bookstore for The D.O.'s: Osteopathic Medicine in America.

These principles make perfect sense to me.
