Hello everyone. Thank you for reading this.

Is it possible to be registered in the osteopathic match (NMS) for an AOA-internship and be registered in the allopathic match (NRMP) for a CA1 PGY2 advanced position during the same application period?

Sincerely,

i hope so...that's what i am doing...???

true that...but the ASA and ABA will soon force all residents to complete your internship at your residency. (all programs will be 4 years) this is so you'll have 4-5 months in the SICU and possibly a month in PAIN/Pain research during your internship.

this would only affect DOs who want to practice in Pennsylvannia.Because you need to complete an Osteopathic rotating internship.

Vent....any thoughts??

Hey drfeelgood, I'm currently an osteopathic student who is interested in applying to residencies in Pennsylvania. I left you a PM and would like to learn about the required osteopathic internship.

Thanks,

Toast.

Or if anyone who knows about requirements for practicing in Pennsylvania, feel free to post info. My fiance is currently there and I would like to know what to expect before applying to the area.

Thanks,

Toast
