maybe it's a sign that you should change it!
I dont know OSU but I think the program in Memphis is excellent...very good clinical experience and they seem like dedicated faculty. The residents also seem pretty happy. However, this is my experience with memphis as a city, make of it what you will:
In the brief 2 block walk from my hotel to rendezvous restaurant (which was quite good) i got accosted by 2 homeless people, one of whom was trying to 'direct' me, telling me I should go into this alley as a 'shortcut'....so that was fun. then on the cab ride home, i asked my cab driver (who looked like zz top...i dont kno why that's relevant to the story) how he liked living in memphis. he said he would never live in memphis, actually lives in mississippi and started telling me statistics...cant remember the details but it was around top 5 or 10 in the country for overall violence, car theft, and vehicular homicide I think...something like that. so i guess that means if you have a car, it will get stolen, then when you're walking, you will get killed by another car. I am sure it's not quite as bad as all that, but still. I don't mean to insult anyone who likes memphis as a city, but all that scared the hell out of me. Again though, the residents did seem happier than many places I saw.
