How important is your fieldwork experience when applying to jobs?

It's important to make sure you have very different fieldwork experiences. My fieldwork coordinator told my cohort since day 1 to have either an adult rehab and a pediatric rotation, or outpatient vs inpatient rotation. My first level II was an outpatient neuro rehabilitation clinic because long-term that is where I want to end up and my second one was an outpatient pediatric clinic. I had little to no experience in a skilled nursing facility, but I was lucky enough to have supervisors that understood my needs as a new grad and provided mentorship and trusted my skills as a new graduate. It all depends on what exactly you're looking for 🙂
