Otago Medical School Requirements?!

Hi all! My friend is curious about the competitiveness for applying to Otago Medical School in New Zealand. I understand that I have to complete the first year course of health science in order to apply, but how difficult is it to get into THAT program? Is getting into the first year course and/or health science program difficult as an international student coming from a community college with very good grades?
If anyone could answer this that would be awesome, thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
