Hi everyone!
This is my first post and I haven't seen a thread for this yet but I wanted to start one for everyone's updates on the application process this round! I copied and posted these from a former thread but if you're comfortable feel free to respond to this : )
1. Overall GPA
2. Dream / Target school
3. Schools applied to
4. Schools interviewed with
5. School acceptances
6. One or two interview questions (list the school asking the question). Whether it was video or in-person.

For me:
1. 3.53/4.00 GPA (About a 3.9 pre req GPA)
2. My original dream school was Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, but have been considering Boston and Pittsburgh as of late...
3. Boston University (interview), University of Pittsburgh (accepted), Medical University of South Carolina (waiting for response), and Duke University (waiting)
4. I have an async video interview with Boston due 11/1, but have been too anxious to take it as of yet (any tips??)
5. I got accepted into Pittsburgh on 10/24!

Good luck everyone!

1. 3.89 from my undergrad (3.81 for OTCAS cumulative undergrad)
2. UTMB
3. UTMB, UTEP (El Paso), and UTHSA (San Antontio)
4. Interviewed for UTMB 10/25, 12/13 for UTHSCA (UTEP doesn't do interviews)
5. Accepted to UTMB!
6. My interview was in-person and we can't share specific questions, but a good general one is to know what drew you to the field of OT and why you want to go to that school's specific program!

Hi! Have you heard from MUSC yet?
Unfortunately no 🙁 Two of my friends heard back on the 30th and got in. I emailed Dr. Smith the same day to see if she had any updates and she just told me I had to wait until the 31st, but I never heard back.

Thank you so much!! That’s awesome to hear, I’m looking forward to it. I wish I could’ve gone in person but timing didn’t line up so I am interviewing online! Wishing you the best as well!

I applied to Rush!! I interview with them next week, how was yours?
Yayy!! Wishing you luck!! It was very good and they made us feel very comfortable. The small group aspect honestly took some pressure off imo… make sure you prepare your answers to the q’s such as why OT and why RUSH! You got it 🙂

Does anyone know when University of Florida send out admission decisions for the otd program?

Hello everyone! I have gone to MGH IHP for their OTD program and just wanted to give my review! I have done pretty well during the program. I will say, as someone who has an interest in ortho, this program really lacks a lot in that department. Their anatomy and movement classes went well, but outside of splinting, you do not learn anything else about physical rehab, such as hands or pelvic floor. They try really hard to steer away from the medical model, but it ends up being a lot of classes that don’t talk about interventions, and it becomes redundant when they have classes only dedicated to teaching you how to talk and think. These skills are important, but I'm not sure if they should be replacing actual skill acquisition. Their logic is that you will learn everything in fieldwork, but if you don’t have a good CI or if your setting is fast-paced, they can only teach you so much in one-on-one time. Also, it seems like their ADE is more so about doing projects the faculty wants to do versus doing research in what you want to do. If you are okay with that, then you will like this program, but if not you will be stuck doing research on topics you have no interest in. You also go through a match system and have very little control over which faculty and project you get assigned.

Hi Everyone,
1.Overall GPA: 3.0/4.0 and prereq GPA: 3.6
2. Dream / Target school: Thomas Jefferson University / Salus University
3. Schools applied to: Rutgers University, Widener University, Salus University, and Thomas Jefferson
4. Schools interviewed with: I have an upcoming interview with Widener University and Salus University.
5. School acceptances
6. One or two interview questions (list the school asking the question). Whether it was video or in-person. : Salus and Widener University: Virtual interview
One question for the forum: Can anyone share some insights on what type of interview questions are asked at Salus University and Widener University?
Has anyone applied to TJU and received an interview? Can you please share how long they took to review you application and get back with an interview date. Thanks
Good luck to all applying this cycle.
