If you guys don't mind, let's get an idea of what ethnicity we have in the Pre-dent forum? If I forgot to list your ethnicity, please forgive me!

As you all can see, we as a group on this SDN thing can very well reflect on the actual applicant pool each year! Back to the "who can be considered as MINORITY applicants", I do believe that this poll reinforces what we had been stating in some of the previous threads!!

We have ample Caucasians, Asians, and South Asians representing the Pre-dental forum, but very scarced (application MINORITIES) African Americans, American Indians, and Hispanics!

This was the main purpose of this poll, to illustrate that African Americans, American Indians, and Hispanics are the ONLY minority groups according to both ADEA and AADSAS!!!! 😎

Dear Y.....

I do not agree with your categorization in the poll. First of all, Saudi Arabia is not in South Asia (that would be caucasian of middle eastern origin), nor your spelling is correct when it comes to Chileans or Colombians in the hispanic section. Moreover, the hispanic characterization is too broad.

Do a new poll where people could vote according to their country of origin. I am pretty sure is going to be very interesting, or at least include an other section where the voter could include that last piece of information.

Man, why do you have to go and ruin my game and cramp my style!!? You're right on those corrections and I hate it when you're right!! Neithertheless, We still have "LESS" numbers in Hipanics, African Americans and American Indians represented here in comparison to (who are not considered as Minorities) Caucasians, Asian, Middle Eastern origin people, and Southern Asian people!! 😎

The key point here is to define "minority groups" in the application process!
