Hi. I couldn't find interview/acceptance rate for NYU and Columbia for OOS applicant on toothdoc excel sheet.... Do you know roughly the chance for those? Predents.com doesn't seem too accurate either because many people didn't list themselves as rejected or waitlisted after interview. Do you think OOS applicant has good shot at admission for those two schools for Pre-December interview? I know knowing this won't make any different at the end, but I am so curious that I just wish someone who had previously applied to these schools give me what they think....

NYU and Coluimbia take a lot of OOS (and as mentioned above they do not differentiate between in state and out of state), meanwhile Stony does not takes a lot of OOS. If you are out of state, I wouldn't apply to Stony because you're shot is miniscule. Here is my logic:

Based on the 2011 ADEA Guide, Stony interviewed 201 OOS applicants (out of a total pool of 753), they only accepted 5 students 😱 save your money for other schools.

Thank you for your information, but I was talking about NYU and Columbia, not Stony 😀
