Out of State Residency - Please read!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Do you really go to a NYS med school?

Say you visit the website of a variety of residencies. Just google "internal medicine residency Johns Hopkins", adjusting for you favorite school and favorite residency. See where the residents came from. For healthy programs, most of the residents come from other institutions, likely out-of-state. Some exceptions include Cali, TX, etc., where there are so many programs and med schools that many of the residents stay in state.

For the most part, you can go wherever you want for residency.

Now thank me for reading!!!

btw, it would be really super if you would refrain from the excited punctuation and demands that someone "PLEASE READ" your posts. If no one is reading them, it is because they have probably tired of reading the same posts from someone who isn't even in medical school yet. Get acepted to medical school. Take a deep breath. Remember the search function is your friend.
