Is there some kind of "union" of state schools? Ok, what i mean is like some states dont even have a dental school. They would be considered out of state students for all the other schools (except private ones). Wouldn't that kill their chance of gettin in a dental school?

Same thing goes for those states that only have one or two dental schools. These people will apply for schools that are out of state too.

My question is are there states that like ally up and consider the other states' students (that is in the union)?

Do you guys know if any dental school considers IL students over other out of staters?

OK,

I just learned about the WICHE states... Anything else like this?

A buddy of mine applied to a school in missourri, but was rejected because they have some kind of agreement with some surrounding states. Don't know the details, but I do think something like what you're talking about exists.

Sorry if this comes off as a bit harsh, but ARE YOU SERIOUS!! Doesn't IL have 2 state schools? What more could you ask for??

I know UCONN serves as the "state school" for NH, Vermont, RI, maine and all the rest of the new england states that dont have a dental school of their own. We wont get the same state tuition that CONN residents get but we pay something like state tuition x 1.5 which is pretty damn good.
