I was wondering if any one knew if you applied to a vet school and were accepted as a out of state student, lived in the state and obtained residency would you be able to pay in state tuition the following years? Living in a state with no vet school, it is going to my only option.

At my Washington State interview they did tell me that you could pay in-state tuition after your first year, which surprised me because I remember them being on that list in the thread twelvetigers posted from last year. On their website it says you can obtain residency for tuition purposes if you live there 12 consecutive months before you would start classes, registered to vote, etc. but I'm not sure how it works if you are in school (I think Wisconsin might be similar?) But both of my interviewers definitely said that paying instate was a possibility after 1st year.
