2002 Total Employment: 230,000
2012 Total Projected Employment: 299,000
Employment Growth Rate: 30.1%
2002 Median Annual Pay: $77,000

These jobs are safe from outsourcing, primarily because it's unlikely the U.S. government will allow drug importation. Also, pharmacy is becoming more consultative. The years-long shortage of pharmacists in North America has resulted in higher salaries and stiff competition for college grads.

A net gain of 69,000 pharmacists in 10 years? Better keep opening those schools. 😉

what do you think about the new internet market of drugs from Mexico y Canada?

Outsourcing usually means shipping away the jobs to other countries. Lets say this won't happen. How about if they come and get us here? Could foreign pharmacists coming to the US be a threat? I found this article and it brings an interesting view.

I would not concern too much about "foreign pharmacy students flooding job market" issue. What we should concern now is how to control the drug importing from other countries, such as Canada, Mexico..., and online pharmacies. These will be the direct sources that make the pharmacy job demanding fades away in future.

Also, keep in mind that if you are good at what you are doing, then it will not matter...
