Yeah this year they bumped up everything a couple of months.
And one thing I heard is that they might be changing to the "multiple mini interview" which is making me more anxious, cuz it sounds harder then just a regular ol' sit down interview.

Are you sure about that?? lol
Cuz that would reduce my anxiety a lot!! 👍

dee vee emm - there's something on the FVC board that Elizabeth Lowenger wrote, I will try to find it later (don't have time now sorry). But I'm sure, ya.
I also heard a rumor that the earlier your interview is, the higher you are in the 200. But....I'm not sure that's true lol, my interview is the first day, and my marks are good but not over the top amazing, so???? haha. Not sure if I believe that rumor!!
Congrats to everyone who got interviews!

does anyone know how long before they let u know if u got accepted or not? i think last year it was 2 weeks after all interviews are over. but cuz interviews are earlier this year, im wondering if its going to be the same.. i'm just trying to plan ahead since i will have to find new housing if i get in!
Yea it was about 2 weeks last year after the interviews that you found out the end result.
And I was talking to someone I know that just finished his 3rd year and he said that the interviews are randomly assigned to whatever day you get, not by your academic standing. But people always speculate right? lol
Are you guys/gals all from Ontario??

lol well i guess its good to get it over and done with early..
yeah I'll be needing roommates too! I think I'll be looking for student housing off campus.. but hopefully somewhere not too far from school =)
I'm actually originally from Vancouver. I came back, then got the email saying my interview was in 2 weeks. pretty stupid that I have to fly back now! lol. I hope I get accepted.. I couldnt apply last year because I had to satisfy the residency requirements first. So I already wasted a year! Don't want to waste anymore time..But I've been living in Kitchener because my boyfriend went to U of Waterloo and we shared an apartment. So I've got to find a place in Guelph if I get in!
Is everyone from Guelph or somewhere nearby?

I'm from just outside of Windsor... so it's like a 3 hour drive to Guelph for moi.

Yeah I think mine went well. I prepared a lot for it, and the 2 guys interviewing me were really nice.
How did everyone else's go?

Congratulations to everyone on making it this far! 🙂 I can imagine how nervous you all are, but you should take comfort in knowing that you did your best, and that it's out of your hands now...But I'm sure that isn't very comforting right now...😉
I'm applying to OVC next year, and am already terrified, especially for the interview, as I believe that next year they are starting the MMI as opposed to the traditional style...Does anyone have any more info on this? For example, do you know if the MMI interviewers have access to yoru BIF, etc?😕
Good luck to everyone!

im actually psyched for the multiple mini interviews.. it gives us more chance to showcase who we really are. I heard that they were going to ask like non vet related stuff.. stuff like what we will do under certain environments.. or how we interact with people! I think more interaction is better than the traditional interviews! anyway.. im still a year and sem off till i can apply so good luck to those next year and let us know how it goes!

I'm just unsure what to expect...I don't know of anyone applying to a vet school that does MMIs (Do any use them? I actually have no idea...), and my friend who did both traditional and MMIs for different med school says that the MMI was both good and bad...Good because, like you said Alex, there's a lot more non-medicine related topics and situations, and that if you make a mistake in one interview, or it doesn't go well, it's over in 8 minutes and you get to make another, and hopefully better, impression on the next set of interviewers. However, she also said that because each of the interviews was totally different (some had actors, some you had a debate with another student, some were just question-answer...) you never really got into the 'groove' of things and had to 're-prepare yourself' for each new station...I don't know, I'm just nervous about the whole process in general...But right now, I should be even MORE nervous about the MCATs, which I'm writing this summer....:|😛
haha me too! mcat -_-
do you study at guelph?! Which year art thou!
