i actually took the MCAT about several months ago....so i was completely prepared for that for a while...so DAT studying just ended up being review for me (at least for bio, org, and gen chem). Anyway, DEFINATELY get topscore pro and dat acheiver for practice tests...THEY ARE KEY.....for reading get Kaplan Blue DAT Book. For additional review you can try Schuams Outlines (they are good if you have the time). You can get both the Biology and Chem, I used both and they were ok.
As for my DAT: Biology tended to be more complex that I previously thought. There were MANY questions straight word for word out of questions from DAT achiever, exactly the same. Gen Chem was surprisingly easy than all of the practice tests i took. Organic I thought I knew really well (on the practice test I was consistently getting higher gen chem scores than organic..oh well)..They had some tricky questions on organic (like which carboxylic acid was more acidic....and they all had chlorides attached at the end at different carbons of similar length acids). For PAT, I found it MUCH harder than kaplan as well as topscore pro, but similar to DAT Achiever...you may want to definately review PAT from DAT achiever since i found this sections to be very similar to that. Also, the angle rankings on the real DAT are next to impossible i found. They seem to vary by mere degrees... Other than that the PAT was a cinch.
Quantative Reasoning on the other hand proved to be MUCH MORE COMPLEX than any practice test i have seen. The entire test consisted at least half of all trig problems and most were quite complex. This is the section is got completely bogged down in and then ultimately started panicing and making mistakes...
Reading i never really prepared for and honestly never really expected a high score on...since i usually ended up with 16-19 on practices test (and usually ended up with much higher math scores).
Hope this helps if there anything else, please ask...would be happy to assist you.
good luck!
