Suppose your overall gpa is not high enough or close to the mean for a school but your science gpa is higher than the mean. Does that compensate or even out.

I didnt really try hard in school for the first two years. But My priorities have changed and Im striving to do better in school.

If I were to get a high enough score on the DAT and a decent science gpa would I have a chance with a lower than normal gpa?

If I had a overall gpa of 3.2 but a science gpa of 3.4 and a dat score of 19-20. Would I have a shot at a school like NYU?

I personally believe with that score you would have a shot at more than just NYU

Just apply early, have good LORs, and a fantastic Personal statement.

It's all a number game eventually. Grad gpa 3.7, undergrad 3.1, DAT 22/22/22, and NYU still screw me over. I dont' remember even receiving a letter from them. I want my money back. But be confident, and boost up your other areas. Change what you could, and go at it.

I happen to have a significantly higher science GPA than overall GPA. All I can say is I got it where it counts!👍
Overall GPA<Science GPA<BCP GPA 🙂

Oh yeah, my overall GPA is around 3.2 but still managed to get interviewed at SUNY Buffalo.
