I was just wondering would it be an overkill to do USMLEconsult, Kaplan, USMLERx and Uworld? given that i've got 6months of prep time on my hands, with school work ongoing.

i know of people who've done kaplan usmlerx and uworld.. and also those who've done just Uworld and both managed scores close to each other's (both 99s). personally i would stick with re-doing Uworld and solidifying those concepts and making FA stronger. Rx essentially strengthens your FA and kaplan goes into minute details which tend to not necessarily be high yield. not had much experience with consult.

I'd like to say you can't overkill q-banks bc they're so essential to step studying..but I'd definitely stick with UWorld and Kaplan and just repeat over and over. I just did UWorld multiple times over and ended up /99.

Has anyone used USMLEconsult or heard much about it? I'm looking for an additional Qbank to use along with UWorld, but can't decide between cosult and Rx (not a big fan of Kaplan). Consult seems interesting and they have Golijan's name, along with some pretty big names in academic medicine.

I use the USMLEConsult questions for Rapid Review 3ed. and those questions are pretty high quality. The explanations are clear and thorough.

Many people have done great with more than one qbank, but for the majority of people that I have talked to, they say its best to stick to ONE qbank and FA at the end of the day. Once you get those two down cold, you can move onto other qbanks.

I personally started out with kaplan qbank, did about 500 or so questions. While I think the qbank was good enough, it wasn't UW caliber in terms of questions AND explanations, so I dropped Kaplan and started going through UW. Maybe I might switch back at the end of my board study to drill minutia, but as of right now, UW x2 is where its at.

i agree, the more Qs the better... but damn that's a lot of board review Qs (+2k/each + time spent reviewing your wrong/marked Qs) 🙄

if you're determined on doing them all, i'd suggest doing them sequentially one or two at a time as you exhaust their Qbank, before moving onto the next (also saves you $$$ from purchasing 4x 6month subscriptions)
