For those that work overnight (7 on 7 off) do you work 10 hours on weekdays and 12 hours on weekends? If so what times do your shifts start? I recently went from 9 PM to 6 AM on weekdays to 10 PM to 7 AM and am now pushing to increase my base hours and extend my shift to 8 AM. As far as I know, I’m the only overnight pharmacist that works 9 hour shifts on most weekdays and have to finish everything by 6 AM so the day time Pharmacists can chill for hours until QT starts blowing up.

10 hours shifts M-Th, 12 hour shifts F-Su...there is slight variation in hours even within the same district for overnight RPh. Hell, one store has 4 days on, 3 days off rotation (I have no idea why anyone would agree or want this)

wow WVU, so you put in 80.5 hours a week?
Do you get OT? or just night differential?

I did that for my partner because her husband moved away and getting a babysitter the same 3 nights every week was easier than getting one every other 7 days.

10-8 for 7 days, 7 off (lots of free time!!)

Wow, that is pretty much just working a regular shift 7 days a week and then getting 7 days off!
I didn't know that there were such sweet deals still out there!

So how many of you working the overnight shift manage to catch some sleep at work?

You've got to be F'ing kidding...PIC's solution for any metric not @ par = dump more work on the overnight shifts; when there isn't enough time for that, blame all problems on overnight RPhs. Not enough time to clean up after lazy daytime techs and RPh who run circles into one another all day spinning their wheels
