Should really have made this a visible poll so the votes could be assessed for validity (e.g. not having results skewed by resource staff voting multiple x)

I think pathoma, first aid, goljan, kaplan (the whole series),uworld, high yield series are all over rated. What ever happened to good ol' intuition when it comes to answering questions.

I really liked USMLE Step 1 Secrets and Pathoma. Both sources provided good depth, explanations, and insight into how a subject was going to be tested. I found FA really only helped for micro and mnemonics for list memorization.

I agree. Studying defeats the whole purpose of USMLE. You should just use what's between the ears.

I'd love to hear from the people who rated Gunner Training to be overrated. What did you not like? What about the program didn't work for you?

Wow, great first post.
But what is intuition without tution 😎

Really wish I could have the time back that I spent DIT. For those will be studying for the USMLE in the future, I think the poll results are pretty accurate. I would, however, recommend some areas of the Kaplan review, specifically biochem, micro, and the biostats and epidemiology portions of behavioral sciences. If you are starting your M2 year, I highly recommend Pathoma as a supplement.

I would like to add that I am a little skeptical that some of the 16 positive votes that DIT got may be from their marketing department.

FA is severely lacking the clinical part of the exam.
You need to fill in a lot of disease presentations...
Non the less, it's the best book to fill onto...

UW is the best learning/comprehension tool.

Pathoma!! I can't praise pathoma enough, amazing, will fill FA gaps nicely and neatly.

These 3 resources are enough to get you 250+ if you studied them correctly.
Many people I know got 250+ just by studying these 3.

For 260 I think you should add another Qbank at least before UW,
or read other review books and know how to apply the information,
or do well in school.
