I just got an email saying that I was accepted to UCD! I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not it would be any more difficult to get a residency in the states if I were to go to an overseas school.

From what I've heard, if you go to a "standard" overseas school (Scotland, Ireland, RDC, Ross, SGU, etc.), the schools are recognized by most to all of the teaching facilities for producing grads that are just as good and competent as the US grads. The consensus seems to be that there is discrimination against overseas schools (esp. Ross and SGU) by people who don't know much about them and haven't worked with the students, but I wouldn't think you'd run into that in a teaching facility nearly as much because they get people from all over and keep up with what's happening around the globe.
I had asked the director of the teaching hospital near me what he thought of Ross/SGU students and he said that all the people he had met were great, he was impressed with their facilities when he'd been to the islands, and that the only reason they didnt have students from the school in the hospital was because the state did not accept the PAVE.
