Oh man, if only you saw me work this crap out in my head. If I spoke it out loud, it would sound something like this...
"Ok, it went from...plus two...to...plus 5....Oil Rig...Oxidation is Loss, Reduction is Gain...so this guy...lost electrons.......cause....he went from less positive to more positive....that means....Oil Rig....Oxidation is Loss, Reduction is Gain....of electrons? Yea....of electrons....so he was OXIDIZED....which means he's the REDUCTANT OR REDUCING AGENT!!!! EUREKA!!!!!"
Only to discover I'm asked to calculate Delta G or some crap.
