When does a carboxylic acid result with treatment of O3?

carboxylic acids are produced when alkynes undergo ozonolysis

and thats the only case? What about Alkenes in the presence of H2O2?

So just to clarify...if H2O2 is used...the only difference it makes is, if an aldehyde would have been formed as one of the products, a COOH is formed in its place??

The use of triphenylphosphine, thiourea, zinc dust, or dimethyl sulfide produces aldehydes or ketones while the use of sodium borohydride produces alcohols. The use of hydrogen peroxide produces carboxylic acids.

I've never seen ozonolosis without Zn or others that stops things from being overoxidized.
