P/NC Science Elective or W?

I am currently contemplating taking P/NC or to withdraw from my Human Parasitology course which is not a required course for my major. I am a senior so I am concerned that given it's my last year, it may be looked down upon. This would be my first P/NC or W on my entire transcript through 4 years. For an explanation, I recently switched my job to 11PM to 7AM, and given that the course is at 8AM, I have been missing classes or falling asleep during the class since from the previous day I would have been awake for nearly 24 hours straight. Would this be a reasonable explanation to receive a P/NC or W? Should I even take a P/NC or W at all?

Is there an option to not have a P or W and have it somehow not appear on the transcript? I'd opt for that if it didn't affect graduation.

At this point, for just one course, no one will care. Do whichever.

P if you know that you will not get an NC (seen equivalent to failing). If you’re unsure, take the W
