P/NP Grading

I'm an engineering major, so is it OK to take one of the required engineering classes for my major under Pass/No-Pass grading? Will med schools hate me for that?

Just in case anyone else has this question, I did some research and it seems like as long as it's a pre-req class for your major and NOT medical school, it's ok.
