To my fellow P4s:

When is your last official day of rotations, and what do you plan to do between then and graduation?

Mine is February 13, so I have only 11 more weeks of rotations to go (excluding a break at Christmas and New Years). Afterward, aside from possibly interviewing in February, I plan to be a complete bum for at least a week. :meanie: Hey, I deserve it! 😉

I noticed that - how in the world did you get to be done in Feb?!

My last day will be sometime in April. My first rotation was in June, we get December off, and then February is my month off for residency interviews. I come back for 2 final rotations and then graduate in May.

Yeah, how does that work out? How many rotations are required at your school?

My school had it set up so that P4 year you had 8 one month rotations...and 3 random months off. So some people ended up having their 3 months off back-to-back, prior to May graduation. Was kind of nice as many of them could start getting experience wherever they planned on working, and concentrating on the NAPLEX.

This is exactly my case. We have seven 5-week rotations, and two "off" blocks, so nine blocks total. I had one week of a break in between P3 and P4 year, and I don't have a break until our 4-week break at Christmas, which every has. I return in January for my last rotation, and my two "off" blocks are at the end, back-to-back.

During my time off I plan to relax, interview, move, and study for NAPLEX, so that I can take the test very shortly after graduation in May.

you guys are so lucky....we have NINE 5-week rotations.....i repeat NINE FIVE WEEK ROTATIONS

I think we have 9 4 week rotations. 10 blocks total, one (at your leisure) off.

I'm through Feb. 13 also!!!

So excited to be almost through!😀

We are done around late April. Have a random month break. Then graduation in May.

Probably Naplex/Law study

My last day of rotation is April 24, I am planning on going to London and Paris. I will worry about everything else whenever I get back.

what are people's plans between graduation and naplex/residency/etc.

I was hoping to go to south africa to see my best friend and go on a safari but that will depend on $$$$ and how far I'm moving for residency. I am soooo broke right now. I e-mailed my supervisors last night to see if I can start coming in for 3-4 hours a couple evenings a week. Working one shift a week + my dog being sick has KILLED my bank account.
