I have been researching the PA profession as well as the NP and am still undecided. I have been excepted to a RN program here locally, but have been researching other professions to get health care experience if I chose to be a PA and cardiovascular technologist sounds interesting. Is this a good profession for hands on experience for PA school matriculation? Are there many jobs available? The credential awarded is an AS as a RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).

At physicianassistant.net (There are many). Being an RN can't hurt, either. There are many RNs that go on to become great PAs. A faster route would be persuing CV Tech, then PA school, however. Maybe throw in a little EMT for more varied patient experience.
