Lol, people attending Pacific go hang out at the school...or if you want to attend talk to current students and just explore the school...something like that...you can take your family I think too, not sure

Pacific Pride Day is a day-long program for prospective students and their families. It includes mini-lectures on a variety of dental topics, a tour of Pacific's state-of-the-art facilities and an opportunity to meet current students, faculty and staff.

So, I'm going to toss out some ideas here:

There's a wine bar right around the corner from UoP called Piccolo, but it seems pretty pricey ($7-10/glass).

There's several sushi bars in the area, and I'm always down for some sake and raw fish.

There's a pretty decent night scene in the marina too, I even hear they have a club dedicated to the greatest of all drinks, Jaegermeister! I've heard the MatrixFillmore is also a cool spot, might be worth checking out.

Any preferences? Ideas?

Okay...So if someone needs a bed or floor, My friend Meggan and I have a motel room at this place half way betweeen the marina and Pacific for Friday and Saturday nights for Pac Pride.

it's $88 a night and I'm open to sharing since Meggan has yet to give in to my sexual advances and I have a feeling Pac Pride won't change that.


Also...pac pride is over at like 3:30pm...so I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone and drowning in saki...jaeger bombs would be fun too.

Sake bombs and raw, cold fish! I was thinking Osaka on Filllmore (http://www.osakaonfillmore.com/index.html Looks like they might give us free sake?) or Ten-ichi (also on Fillmore).

Osaka looks the best though, I'll call them up tommorow and see if we can get reservations

FYI - If you're looking for a steal, i have stayed many a times at the wonderful Greenwich Inn in the Marina. Kind of a dive, but for $60 its a deal. Book on Priceline.com for the best price.

If you want to sign up for pacific pride...do it through the website ASAP as I just spoke to their PR rep office and they said they are almost at their limit:

I think it is an awesome deal for the area you get to stay near. I expect it to be a pretty standard motel...as in motel not hotel.

Also, last night Dr. Ferillo spoke down here in San Diego and said something I thought I'd mention...though I'm not sure if he was talking about Pacific or nationally cause I was a little wigged out on a mixture of valium, percocet, and a small amount of tequila during his talk (not a drug addict...all prescribed by doctors for a neck injury problem I am having - yes, the tequila too)

The Pacific Class of 2010 will be 56% male and 44% female...which is totally awesome...cause based on SDN and facebook I was beginning to think going to Pacific would be like going into a master's program for electrical engineering...sure...the guys would be cooler, maybe, than those engineering master's students, but there still was gonna be a lot of them.

And even if that wasn't a pacific stat and was a national stat...yeah for women.
