Besides working as a pharmacy tech, what are some other good options to get some pharmacy experience and to impress the admission committee before applying to pharmacy school????

volunteer at a hospital, join a pre- pharmacy club.

They aren't just looking for pharmacy related stuff. They will like that you work in a pharmacy just so you know what you are getting into. Make sure you are involved in some extracurriculars. Volunteering also always helps. I know that at my interview there were more non-pharmacy related questions than pharmacy related. I don't think they expect you to have a huge amount of pharmacy experience. They really want to know that you are a well-rounded student.

I was a guest speaker 🙂

You don't necessarily need pharm experience. Leadership experience is much more important. It's better to get really involved in 1-2 clubs/events and show demonstrated leadership then just being a member of all these clubs for the sake of padding your app.

I agree. They will know in the interview if you are getting anything out of your EC's or if you are just part of them in order to build your resume.
