Pain Boards Timeline

Hi,
Can someone explain how the pain boards work for anesthesia grads in terms of timing in relation to fellowship. I tried researching it online and it said something along lines of you have to be practicing for 18 months, including fellowship, as pain doc before you can sit for the April exam? Is this correct. If anyone could share some personal experience with how it all works, that would be great. Thanks!

You take pain boards after you take (and pass) all your anesthesia boards

For this year the pain boards exam will be in September
