Planning on relocating to Arizona and have just started to look for reputable pain groups in the Scottsdale region. Does anyone know of any pain folks in this area that are not just pill mills? If so please PM me. Thanks.

dude, take me with you! I have been trying to convince my wife we need outta this blizzard prone ****heap and to move to the high desert. keep a condo in the mid west for the summers to visit family...the rest of the time its golf and road bikes...

ahhh sigh, good luck!

I feel for you DocShark. I grew up in the midwest and I left after residency. Now I live in the South and there is no way I would ever go back to the freezing icy winters.

We get little snow, but we have no tort reform, crappy reimbursement from private insururance (medicare is usually our best payer) and the state is broke. We have our tradeoffs. I want to move to Texas. No state taxes, tort reform, cheap land. But I own my own office building nobody wants to buy. Anybody up for a trade?

Is there a convienent way to look up what the variable amounts a private payer compares various locations nationally?

I don't know but whenever I go to a meeting the midwest docs say they get reimbursed twice what we get in AZ😡

Sounds pretty bad-

I grew up in the West, trained on East Coast, now practicing in the East for a couple years. Sometimes I'd really like to move back to the West, but I'm making double what my friends are getting in Colorado, AZ, and CA and I don't know how many years there are left to make decent money in pain (particularly with Obamacare), so I'm staying put for now.
