Painful stethoscope... Small ears??

This happened to me too. The solution is easy.

Adjust the stethoscope tension by gently pressing outward on both earpieces (it is in the directions that came with the box).

This will markedly reduce the pressure against your ears...and don't worry about bending them too far out, because it is reversible. (just flex the earpieces across eachother to restore the original tension).
 
It might seem counterintuitive, but try using much larger ear pieces. If you using the small ones, they'll jam into your ear canals like a Q-tip, but if you use the big ones, they should rest just inside your ear without poking into the ear canal. I
recommended it someone else and it worked.
