Palm Piolet???

Hey I was just accepted into MSUCOM, I wanted to purchase a palm piolet now.

What do you think? Wait on it or get it? IF you suggest get it...

Which one do you recommend?

First of all, congrats.

Secondly...people keep telling me to wait until 3rd year to get a palm.

That's what I;m going to do.

I'd wait. You won't really need one until your third year. If you buy it now, with technology advancing at fast as it does, it will probably be a dinosaur by the time you really need it.

I'm hoping by the time I'm a third year, they will have palm pilots able to play DVD's and such. Nothing like being stuck in a study room at 3am with your trusty porno DVD's in your backpack in case of emergency.

I'm with the above posters; wait. Wait until at least second semester of your second year. I used my palm all of the time to help with board study, look up things I couldn't remember/didn't know and it was very helpful. I use it all of the time on rotations, not to track patients, but, for information on various drugs, etc.
