Palm/sole rash

Does anyone know why such a limited number of things cause rash on the palms/soles? I know the differential you are taught in medical school, but I have never really gotten an explanation why, and I cant seem to find the answer in textbooks.

Thicker epidermis means the capillaries are farther away from the surface. That's my idea.

wtf? He's not asking for "medical advice and/or consultations". He didn't say, "I have a rash on my palms or soles, why is it there", he said he doesn't and he wonders why. Don't be an ass.
