Alright, I'm 4 days out. I've done all but 300 Uworld questions, gotten through some but not all of MTB, and I'm starting on UWorld's CCS cases now. The CCS cases suck more than I expected. I have not taken a practice test and I'm scoring around the 40th percentile on Uworld. I feel a tad overwhelmed and underprepared and, were this medical school, I would probably move the test back. On the other hand it would be a logistical nightmare for me to move this test. Thoughts? What should I do?

I would definitely postpone the test. From what I have heard, you need to be scoring at least 55% on UW in order to barely pass the test, and at least 65% to be absolutely sure you pass it. Plus, the CCS weigh a lot (25% of the total score), so should not be underestimated. If you want to have some idea on how you might do w/o postponing, take the practice test. Good luck!

40th percentile, not 40 percent correct. Not sure what my percent is but I think its in the high 50s. I think I'm going to do a practice test tomorrow.

Don't worry so much about the percentiles and percent correct for step 3. I was freaking out like you because I was like 65%+ for step 1 and 2 and then was around 50-55% for step 3. Still ended up >230. Take the UW assessment if it will make you feel better. I personally felt UW Qbank was less representative than it was for 1 and 2 and that the actual Step 3 kept to more high yield conditions than the picky little minutiae that UW presents.

Do make sure you get through all the CCS. 1) it gets you used to the format and what things you have to order every time. For example, every ED pt gets IV, cardiac monitor, continuous BP, O2 sat. 2) It's helping you study for the MC section as well indirectly. A lot of "what's the next step?" questions on step 3 and that 4th tab of the CCS review gives you straight up the order for accepted best practice.

Good luck
