I personally know a couple dentists that have used paper clips when other posts did not fit. Not that big of a deal if they are sterile and the correct size!

Some dentists routinely use paper clips for temporary posts while waiting for a permanent post to be fabricated. I had it suggested to me in dental school by a faculty and you probably will too. It's just a piece of metal, the same thing you'd get if you ordered it from a dental supply company. And it would cost you way more if you bought it from a dental supply company.

It is a good practice to be cautious when reading articles written by people who are not exactly familiar with the subject matter.
