Can anyone please help me to locate the thread about the paper ruler -I have read before but I just can't find it again- or teach me how to use it for angle problems?

i use the corner of a piece of paper as a 90 degree angle

best thing i have found is to just imagine the lines of the angle extended like 4 or 5 inches, then you can easily tell which one is smaller/larger...or if i really cant tell (someof DAT achiever's angles are like 3 degrees apart!!!) then I close my eyes and open them real quick a few times...works 9 out of 10 times for the one or 2 insanely close angles

Listen guys, these gimmicks wont work.

When I took my DAT they wouldnt let me rip my paper nor hold it up to the screen.

You need to just work at it because they will bust you at the test site and you wont be allowed to resit for a year.

Like the previous post said, it varies. However, I do think it would be safer for people beginning to study to just learn it without using this method so that you don't even need to worry about whether you can use it...

I look at it this way:
Preparing without ruler...
if they don't let you use it, you're OK.
if they let you use it, you're OK.

Preparing with ruler...
if they let you use it, you're good.
if they don't let you use it, you might be screwed.

honestly, it doesnt matter what they said. you need to call the testing center and speak directly to the person who is going to proctor this.

They wouldnt even let me fold my paper.

So more power to you.
