I'm wondering: are the first two years of dental school largely (exclusively..?) exams? Are they all generally multiple choice? How often must you write papers? Are they generally opinion papers, research based, lab reports? Thanks!

Im a 4th year and happy to say I didnt write a single paper or report.

All tests were MC except a couple that had some written parts.

Yea. I kinda hoped that didnt go unnoticed.

I believe all professionals, especially in the healing arts MUST learn how to search and use references. You may need to do this for knowledge of a patients problems, and to judge the article as an opinion, or evidence based.

I believe literature review should be manitory for all in health care.

This, we had 3 orals and 2 big written research to do on two ebd subjects, one of them was to write a review ( so yea I had to read and use as much articles I could)
Im in D1, never did something like this before, english isnt my first lang. it was painful
Give me things to study but dont force me to spend hours and hours writing papers, creating a ppt for a 20mins presentation to the class when we have 10000 other things to do!

Oh and there is no such thing as "multiple choice exam" over here... Would be so easier!
