Hi, I am taking a paramedic course at the moment, two year course and I am wondering if the courses I am taking as a paramedic factor into my science gpa. Here are the following courses: Anatomy & Physiology I, Anatomy & Physiology II, Intro to Pre-Hospital Emergency Care, Pre-Hospital Medical Emergencies, Pharmacological Intervention, Emergency Cardiac Care and theres also the clinical practicum, which are hands on clinical. Please let me know and thank you for your time!

not even the A&P classes?
I already took A&P for my bachelor's prior to becoming a paramedic, so I can't comment on that one.

I would think they would be counted, but that'll be the best that you could hope for.

I also had some pharmacology count as science courses from a different degree (since it was all biochemistry anyway) and therefore didn't take it during my paramedic education, but I'm skeptical that a paramedic class would count. Paramedic courses are quite light on the hard science and are geared towards clinical application.

Okay, thank you all for replying. The course is Bio 111, a class in a community college but its a requirement for a paramedic certification. I am not sure if thats classified as being tailored to the paramedic curriculum but it is part of the curriculum albeit being a bio class. All the others, from what everyone said, is a health science gpa, just unsure on A & P

75 of my credits were emt to paramedic and contributed to cGPA and not science

@Mojotheburrito that's disappointing to hear, I understand some courses in the EMS curriculum don't count as science but an EMT cert should atleast count for something. I became an EMT before doing paramedicine but now I know that doesn't count for science either :/ anyways thanks
