If your parents work for a medical school (state school) do you get cheap tution at that school? How do they determine how cheap?
I know that's the policy for a lot of schools for undergrad, but I haven't heard of that at medical schools. I'd be suprised. If your parents work for a medical school (state school) do you get cheap tution at that school? How do they determine how cheap?
Moving to Pre-allo.
my mom's been working at my state medical school for 25 years, and has won multiple awards for compassion, dedication, and service. i can't even get a g**-d*** secondary...
I believe there is some help. A member of our med school faculty has a child who is a student of that school. This person made a comment once that one of the perks of the position was their child's tuition. However, I can't imagine it's as significant as it is in undergraduate institutions.
bump. Anyone have any more info? For a state school does it matter if the parent is a parttime faculty member?
Does anyone know any specifics about this for state schools? What is the typical tuition reduction? Does the parent work full or parttime?
Thanks
Don't move this thread, I'm asking current students.
