I went to DC with my parents for my GWU interview. We made a weeklong trip of it because my mother had never been to DC and my father hadn't been in years.
The interview was on our last day their and the day before my mother informed me she was coming to the interview with me - UH NO. I told her so and she tried appealing to my father who agreed with me.
My dad did walk me to the metro station though (you know a whole block away). Then after he kissed me goodbye he stood at the turnstyle waiving as I went down the escalator. The guard at the gate even offered to let him in and out for free if he wanted to see me to the train. Which my father declined saying "she's 22 I think her mother and I need to accept that she has grown up."

Then my mother told me that he was crying when he got back to the room. I have NEVER seen my father cry. Parents are so weird.
