Average Score: 94
Cumulative Study Hours:/Months: 3.5 (august mid to november end)
Recommended Studying materials: decks, papers, kaplan
Most Difficult Section: all- i couldnt predict which was worse!
Study Do's: do decks and papers well....i did the dental decks twice and revised the questions on the front once. papers once, some of them twice.
remember u need breaks too.
and study at ur individual pace. just coz something worked for me, it might not work for another.
set targets to study and aim to reach them. set realistic targets! like maybe biochem decks in 2weeks for the first time and physio in 2weeks etc. this is how i did it. i cannot study unless i set some deadlines for myself!!!
Study Don'ts: dont waste too much time on textbooks- u dont need to know A-Z of everything under the sun for this exam- just the basics
Other materials used( Books / Notes): little brown review book for biochem (thanks to "itsme" for suggesting this book!) since its a very volatile subject and we hardly did any biochem in college
Any thoughts on how you could have done better/ differently: i wasted 3weeks in november just before the exam coz i was ill....it couldnt be helped but if i could relive those days, maybe i would hope i dint fall ill 🙂 (in essence that makes my study time 2 months give or take a few days)
Study Timeline/Time table: studied 5-6 hrs a day max. some days even less. weekends i did not study at all since i just couldnt study that much! there are people who study 12 hrs a day and there are people who study 4hrs a day. find what works for u best....u cant suddenly change ur study habits - it might disrupt your rhythm.
