Did anyone do these? I just started cause I'm using my friend's log on (which expires pretty soon) and I find the questions pretty difficult... are they relevant? or am I just wasting more of my time...
Or should I actually study some before I go thru these questions?

I did 85% of them according to my Q-Bank login.

As I was doing them they seemed SO much more difficult than the released exam questions, and they are.

I think they are pretty pointless and I'm convinced that the majority of them are a ripoff of the Kaplan QBank USMLE questions. Except for the dental anatomy--I'd do those for sure.

All in all I was NOT impressed with QBank and wouldn't do it again. Not very relevant at all to the NBDE.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say that I would NOT use these as a primary study method. In fact, if you took ALL the old exams, memorized the Decks several times, learned all the applicable mnemonics in First Aid, and browsed the Kaplan review book...THEN I would use the QBank questions. The only exception to that is the dental anatomy like I said, I think those are a good review, but still use them after the Decks.

If you haven't studied at all then I think you are wasting your time with QBank.

just wondering....how were you doing on these Qbank questions??

On dental anatomy I was getting 70% at first and then improved to getting 100%s, so my cumulative was like 92% for dental anatomy. I only did questions in 20 question blocks, though.

For the other subjects the highest I ever scored was 60%, and that was on what I would consider a good day. Typically I was pulling between 20-40% and that was AFTER I had studied on my own and was doing well on the released exams.

okie that makes me feel better... cause i did biochem and physiology and got around 50% (at 90 questions each test) and kinda freaked out....i've looked at the decks for physiology 1.5 times and haven't touched biochem yet(but i was a nerd and took biochem as elective classes in college)... (i am using a friend's decks which biochem/physio was seperated).

thanks a lot 🙂
btw your kids are REALLY CUTE 🙂
