i just recently graduated this past month and am looking for a part time job for the spring..just looking to work 20 hours a week...anyone have any suggestions?

I work at Starbucks... 15hrs/week part time. I wouldn't suggest working there. Go do something that's non-medical related and fun before you head to med school.

some sort of sales job. Working on commission rocks!

If you're a guy, try doing some construction type job. You'll make more money.

high end clothing store, for good discounts. you'll need good attire for patients, clinic days, etc.

i'm going to be waiting tables...its a social atmosphere (if you find the right restaurant) and at fancy places you can easily make $100-200 a night in tips. this is especially nice if you're from california, because they also require restaurants to pay minimum wage regardless of how much you make in tips (i think this is unique to CA but i'm not sure)

damn thats pretty crazy...here in texas i believe waiters make $2/hr...i imagine its kinda hard to land at a nice restaurant with no experiences though... 😡

I work at a carwash selling detail work and make $100-150 a day. I don't even have to break a sweat.

lifeguard 🙂

Waiting tables is really good money if you can't get a job at a hot restaurant in an urban area. Bartending is even better. 😉

I hear bar tending is a nice way to ring in the dough 😉

i know that girls make good money...but i imagine guys dont get as much...any guy bartenders lurking on here? its something i'd consider seeing how austin has 6th st, but i dont wanna shell out $1000 or so for a bartending class only to get burned...
