Hi everyone,
I'm posting an ad in hopes of finding a pre-optometry student who would like to work part-time as an intern at a private optometry practice in Pleasanton, California. I have been working for them for the past 6 months but have to leave because I am leaving the country in February to teach abroad. Now, I need to find a replacement!
We are looking for someone who is:
There really is no specific job title for this position; everyone basically shares responsibilities. I worked as a receptionist, frames/services sales person, pretester (autorefraction, visual field, retinall imaging), translator, vision therapy assistant, etc. All of this is ideal experience for those of you who are planning on applying for Optometry school. It's a great opportunity! 🙂
* There are 2 Doctors at the practice and one of them is Korean American. Therefore, we have many Korean patients who have difficulty speaking English, so we would like someone who will be able to work as translator.
Previous experience would be nice but not required. The doctors and staff will train you when you start and they are all very nice people.
The hours are great and so is the atmosphere. The office is quite big and beautiful.
If you or anyone you know is interested or have any questions, please feel free to email me or PM me.
Thanks!
