Hi there. I work full time and I was wondering if there is a part-time pharmacy school. If so, what and where are they?

Thanks.

Kitkat, to avoid being flammed by others in the forum, use the search function or do research about a topic. The forum encourages questions but posters also expect you to be proactive also.
To answer your question, no. Professional school is a full-time job. If there were a school advertising that, you can be sure that it would never get accredited by ACPE.

hmm... i don't know of any part-time "on campus" pharmacy schools. but, i do believe that the university of florida[UF]/ massachusetts college of pharmacy and health sciences[MCPHS], both offer part-time distance pathway programs. the only problem is that you have to be a licensed pharmacist, in order to participate in either program. but, if you ask me, given that you do work full-time... you may wanna consider creighton, as THEE option. yeah, i know it's actually a full-time and not part-time distance pathway program or IS IT? hopefully, a creighton student, will clarify this soon enough or you may even try calling the school, if no one replies in time and best of luck! with that also kit 😉

I think if you want a career as a pharmacist, you need to just focus on that and work later.

I'm a Creighton student in the distance pathway. It is not part-time schoolwork. It's full time - same exact classes and deadlines as our campus class. Most students work a max of 15-20 hours/week, if that.

thanks D, for the clarification 😀

The aforementioned programs that are part time are for RPh to PharmD for those that opted not to go for the higher degree when they were in school but now need it so they can hold a professorship or other reasons.
